We booked for lunch on 21.7.25 We were seated in the Conservatory which was ok. The table was extremely sticky and when I rested my arm on the table my blouse stuck to it. Perhaps a change of cleaner would help. Food was good , large plates would help as having food stacked on top of each other is difficult to eat. The Yorkshire Puddings were flat and a bit soggy , no roasties on the plate ( I had the vegan wellington) even though they were advertised. I would say re the Wellington it was tasty but you did have an excess of pastry to the filling. Please put beer mats on the tables as they get extremely wet from the glasses. The shocker for us was the price of 330ml diet coke. £14.40 for 4. That does seem a bit expensive.Would give it another go, as the food was mainly really nice.

Great food spot! The patty was juicy, the bun was fresh, and everything just worked together perfectly. Fast, friendly service and a nice vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a solid meal

My partner and I had dinner here for four consecutive nights and every meal was delicious. The servings are huge so we didn't even attempt starters or a dessert sadly! The atmosphere is great and plenty of room in the bar and dining areas, you don't feel huddled up like in some places. The music was always good too! We can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay on site but next door in a lodge. Very convenient gate to access the pub though! The staff are brilliant, so welcoming, friendly and attentive. We hope to return one day from Essex. Thank you to you all who made our holiday in Yorkshire even more memorable.

Went here for a wedding after do, and it definitely made the occasion of the day even better, and in a great location to have it. Only gripe was the delay in service, possibly due to the lack of staff. Aesthetically, it was amazing, with all the wedding decorations fitted about, and with the rustic vibe from the Inn itself. Stayed overnight in one of the rooms, which had a very comfy bed, but was a little basic. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend coming here for a function, or even a quiet pint.
